A Special Cooking SchoolPublished Wednesday, October 28, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesA cooking school for diabetics, and people who love them, will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Mondays, November 2, 9 and 16. The diabetic cooking school is sponsored by the Family Nutrition Education Program of the Clark County Cooperative Extension Service and the Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. It will be held at the Extension Homemakers Kitchen on the Clark County Fairground. Learn new approaches to meal planning and alternatives to the diabetic exchange system. A $10 fee covers cost of a light lunch, recipes and other information. Scholarships are available to food stamp recipients. Interested persons may sign up by calling 246-2281.
