District Talks Construction (cont)BY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, October 28, 1998 in the Gurdon Times e purchasing a 15 passenger van. The board also discussed the possibility of selling the old Gurdon High School facility. The district, Smithson said, will need to keep the old home economics building, band hall and agri building. The gym and auditorium would be sold. The auditorium, Smithson said, is in good shape and has a fairly new heating and air conditioning system. The gym is in good shape as well. Gus Brown Stadium and the current field house would also be parceled off in the sale. The board asked the bids be based on the entire plot of land as well as be broken down into individual buildings by those interested. An auction will also be held as soon as it can be arranged to sell items currently being housed in the old agri building. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
