John Charles JonesPublished Wednesday, September 15, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneJohn Charles Jones, 66;.of San Francisco, Calif., formerly of Okolona, died Saturday, September 4, 1999, in a California veterans hospital. Mr. Jones was born April 9, 1933, in Okolona to Johnny and Willie E. Petus Jones. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and a member of Okolona Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Charles Lavell Jones of Washington; three daughters, Jacquelyn Jones and Pam Jones both of Oakland, Calif., and Catrina Ann Jones of Washington; one brother, Tom N. Jones of Okolona; two sisters, Emma Jean Harrington of Chicago, Ill., and Jean Minniefield of Dallas, Texas; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 11, at Okolona First Baptist Church in Okolona with Rev. Eddie Brown officiating.
