Tommy Fred JonesPublished Wednesday, November 4, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneTommy Fred Jones, 67, of Malvern died Monday, October 26, 1998, at St. Vincent's in Little Rock. Mr. Jones was born May 26, 1931, in Harlington, Texas, to Ruben and Minnie Lois Weatherford Jones. He was retired from Mid-State Construction and was a member of the North Main Church of Christ, where he was a deacon. He was also a member of the South Malvern Volunteer Fire Department and had served as a volunteer for the Sheriff's department. He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, Deborah Kay Jones, and a grandchild, Jeremy Huggins. Survivors include his wife, Velma Brown Jones, to whom he married on January 26, 1952; four daughters, Dinna Baldovino of Paso Robles, Calif., Donna Birnbaum of Nipoma, Calif., Darlene Johnson of Ashdown and Denise Bryant of Malvern; one son, David Jones of Charleston, Miss.; his mother, Minnie Lois Jones; and six grandchildren, Charles Birnbaum, Mallory and Joshua Heard, Maggie Johnson and Geoffrey and Michael Baldovino. Funeral services were Wednesday, October 28, at North Main Church of Christ with Harley Sission and Ed Simmons officiating. Graveside services were at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Prescott.
