P.E. Red' CrossPublished Wednesday, September 8, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneP.E. Red' Cross, 69, of Laneburg died Saturday, September 4, 1999 . Mr. Cross was born July 7, 1930, in Laneburg to Rueal and Effie Stovall Cross. He was a logger and farmer and he had served in the military. Mr. Cross was a member of Laneburg Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Cross of Laneburg; two sons, William Cross of Hope and Michael and Suzanne Cross of Laneburg; five daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Randy O'Neal of Bluff City, Kathy and Ricky Dillard of Rosston, Ruthie Almond of Cale, Daphine and Randy Freeman and April and Kevin Tomlin of Laneburg; one brother, Paul Cross of Laneburg; two sisters, Wanda Lee and Wanetta White of Laneburg; 16 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Monday, September 6, at Laneburg Baptist Church with Bro. David Hampton officiating.
