P.E. Red' Cross

P.E. Red' Cross, 69, of Laneburg died Saturday, September 4, 1999 .

Mr. Cross was born July 7, 1930, in Laneburg to Rueal and Effie Stovall Cross. He was a logger and farmer and he had served in the military. Mr. Cross was a member of Laneburg Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Cross of Laneburg; two sons, William Cross of Hope and Michael and Suzanne Cross of Laneburg; five daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Randy O'Neal of Bluff City, Kathy and Ricky Dillard of Rosston, Ruthie Almond of Cale, Daphine and Randy Freeman and April and Kevin Tomlin of Laneburg; one brother, Paul Cross of Laneburg; two sisters, Wanda Lee and Wanetta White of Laneburg; 16 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Monday, September 6, at Laneburg Baptist Church with Bro. David Hampton officiating. Burial was in New Salem Cemetery in Laneburg under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
