Myrtle Ruth PorterPublished Wednesday, November 11, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneMyrtle Ruth Porter, 88, of Prescott, formerly of Little Rock, died Saturday, November 7, 1998, in Prescott. Mrs. Porter was born August 30, 1910, in Paris to Lewis and Leona Keck. She waas a machinist at Timex Corporation in Little Rock. Mrs. Porter was a member of Woodhaven Baptist Church in Little Rock and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Porter, in 1961. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Jackie Porter of Malvern; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Jim Bias of Hot Springs and Rita and Dale Waid of Prescott; eight grandchildren, Lisa, Tracey, Jeff, Tammy, Roger, Woody and Billy; six great grandchildren, Adam, Tara, Nick, Chris, Bradley and Kyle; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services were Wednesday, November 11, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Bryant with Rev. Don Lutrick officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
