The Music Makers, some of the senior adults from the Gurdon Senior Adult Center and some who no longer attend, went to Arkadelphia to sing for the residents of the nursing home.

Those taking part were Elvin and Mary McBride, Doug and Joyce Quillen, Arline Cathey, Nadine Logan, Lloyd Baumgardner, Watson and Ann Smith, Charlyne Wells, Ollie Mae Purifoy, Lawrence Bearden, Ross Carter, Doris Vance and Darrel and Doris Potraza, who led the singing and played the piano for us. I hope I haven't forgotten someone.

The seniors dined at Bowen's on November 17.

Thursday, November 19, will be the monthly council meeting. This is the month that nominations will be taken from the floor for officers and board members for 1999. They will be elected in December.

Friday, November 20, will be the monthly birthday celebration as well as Volunteer Appreciation Day. We are proud of our volunteers and appreciate them very much. Be sure to be at the center by 10:30 a.m.

There are several senior adult members who are ill: Geneva Everett, Bro. Loy Garner, Bill Logan, Reva Wingfield, Polly Lang, who has a broken rib, and Eulah Wilson, who has been feeling unwell. We wish them all a speedy recovery.

The center will be closed on November 26 and November 27. It is a United Way Agency.
