Ted J. MorrisPublished Wednesday, November 18, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesTed J. Morris, 63, of Arkadelphia died Saturday, November 14, 1998. Mr. Morris was born November 16, 1934, in Okolona, the son of Flave Calvin Morris and Connie Lou Morris McNeely. He was a retired head lineman for South Central Electric Cooperative, a member of Third Street Baptist Church and the president of his senior class at Arkadelphia High School. Survivors include his wife, Betty Mills Morris; a son, Dennis Morris and his wife Melinda of Arkadelphia; two daughters, Beth Morris and Christy Winston and her husband Danny Winston all of Arkadelphia; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 17, at Third Street Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Turner and Rev. James Guthrie officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Pallbearers were Randy Duncan, Billy White, L.D. Wright, Jimmy Rowe, Arnold Hostelter and Phillip White. Honorary pallbearers were employees and board of directors of South Central Electric Cooperative.
