4-H NewsPublished Wednesday, November 18, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneNEW CLUB FORMED On November 5, Nevada's newest county-wide club was established as the Nevada County 4-H Livestock Club. The club's organizational meeting was held Thursday, November 5, at the Nevada County Cooperative Extension Service office. There were 21 4-H members and 13 adults in attendance. The club's membership will include youth of all ages from Nevada County. The 4-H Livestock Club members discussed future plans, projects and community service activities. The club will meet the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Nevada County Cooperative Extension Service office. Officers will be elected at the next meeting on December 3. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
