Trailblazers Travel To BransonPublished Wednesday, November 18, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Prescott Trailblazers traveled to Branson, Mo., Saturday, November 14, to see some of the city's Christmas shows. 42 Prescott Trailblazers traveled to Branson, Mo., to see the Christmas shows. When the group of 42 arrived in Branson, they had reservations to see the Shoji Tabuchi Christmas show at his magnificent theatre. Tabuchi is acclaimed as one of the greatest entertainers in the world. Saturday night the Trailblazers went to Bobby Vinton's spectacular Christmas show at the Blue Velvet Theatre. Vinton is the most successful male solo love-song singer of the rock era. The group enjoyed going to the Moon River Theatre to see Andy Williams' beautiful Christmas show. On Sunday morning, a devotional was given on the bus by Lawanna Plyler and a prayer was said by Ruby Hasley. Those going from Prescott were Sybil Sherman, Bobbie Gautsche, Mariam Purtle, Virginia Easterling, Lois Shipp, Patsy Purtle, Elizabeth Haltom, Gertrude Firmin, Lois McAnally, Rosemary Partney, Bobbie Minor, Marion Ferguson, George Darrell and Vickie Glass, Don and Neda Cearley, Ruby Hasley, Lawanna Plyler, Bud Vandiver, Jody Smith, Edith Hunter, Voncil Gordon, Mary Lou Grimes, Catherine Lusby, Mildred Kelley, Marie Eley, Nell Avery, Polly Phillips, Judy Westmoreland, Pearl Payne, Leola Faires, Mary Richey, Dan and Sarah Yowell, and Glenda Westmoreland. Going from Sutton were Iva Lee Davis; from Texarkana, Mary Jo Arnold and Audie Wakin; from Little Rock, Betty Riley; from Delight, Shelia Gordon; from Magnolia, Scott Langley and Mildred Buffaloe; and from Shreveport, La., David Richardson.
