James Edward Martin

James Edward Martin, 71, of Hot Springs Village died Wednesday, November 11, 1998, at St. Joseph's Health Center in Hot Springs.

Mr. Martin was born August 17, 1927, at Waterloo and was preceded in death by his parents, Sid and Sallie Martin of Stephens and by a son, Steve Sidney Martin in 1953. He was a retired school administrator, coach and teacher. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Glen Marlar Martin of Hot Springs Village; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Tama Martin of Cabot; one granddaughter, Jennifer Martin of Cabot; and one grandson, Jonathon Martin of Cabot.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 13, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Bro. Harley Sisson officiating. Burial was in Falcon Cemetery at Falcon under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
