Dorothy Marie McAteerPublished Wednesday, November 18, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneDorothy Marie Glass McAteer, 73, of Emmet died Wednesday, November 11, 1998, at her home. Mrs. McAteer was born January 10, 1925, to Clyde and Mamie Smart Glass in Nevada County. She was a housewife and mother and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie H. 'Bill' McAteer, who died February 28, 1997. Survivors include one son Darrell McAteer of Lonoke; two daughters, Ann Vandiver of Prescott and Kay Marlar of Emmet; two sisters, Lois Pratt of Mexia and Margie Conway of Hope; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services were Thursday, November 12, at Morris Baptist Church at Caney with Rev. Raymond Hicks and Rev. David Hampton officiating.
