The Lady Jays easily took care of Benton Harmony Grove, 53-32, in their first game of the season on October 19.

On October 23 they defeated Blevins 53-40, then they trounced Emerson, 66-41, on October 27. The Lady Jays defeated Waldo, 48-40, on October 30 and edged Saratoga, 34-33, on November 3. In a conference game on November 6 the Lady Jays beat Stephens 57-49.

The Blue Jays were defeated by Benton Harmony Grove, 56-43, then they bounced back with a 54-44 conference victory in the second game of the season. They easily took care of Emerson, 72-53; edged Waldo, 56-52; then lost to Saratoga, 61-57; before going to Stephens and taking an 80-57 loss to last year's conference champions.

This week the Nevada teams were to have traveled to Norphlet on Tuesday for a non- conference game against an old foe. Friday night they will host Genoa Central in another non- conference game against an old foe.

Next week they will come to Prescott for an annual shootout, and on Tuesday they will host Waldo before taking a break for the Thanksgiving holiday.
