Leona CoxPublished Wednesday, November 25, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneLeona Cox, 83, died Thursday, November 19, 1998, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tenn. Mrs. Cox was born in Cass County, Texas, on June 3, 1915, the daughter of the late Martin Benjamin Hensley and Maggie Chapman Hensley. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Cox. She was owner of Leona's Fashion in Gallatin, Tenn., for many years. Survivors include two sons, George Cox Jr., and Robert E. Cox of Gallatin; a daughter, Gwendolyn Cox Dixon of Gallatin; a brother, Luther Hensley of Whitesboro, Texas; eight grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. Graveside services were Friday, November 20, at Gallatin Cemetery with Bro. Julius Hovan officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Newby Funeral Home of Gallatin.
