Old GHS Photos Preserved

The pictures of the graduates of Gurdon High School that graced the walls in the hall of the old high school building for years are being preserved. Those pictures contain 65 years of history.

The public's help is needed through donations to help in the purchase of the display that will contain the pictures at the new facilities.

The pictures will be removed from the present frames, as several are broken, and placed into dust proof displays that will be easy to view and provide unlimited enjoyment while 'traveling down memory lane.'

Send donations to 'Save the Picture Picture Fund' at First State Bank in Gurdon and help get this important project completed.

Newspaper articles have been contributed to the Prescott Community Freenet Association as a "current history" of our area. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Articles ? to October 2008 were contributed by GateHouse Media.

Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
