GPS Awarded$2,500 Mini-Ed Grant

Gurdon Primary School was recently awarded a $2,500 mini-career education grant from the Arkansas Department of Education.

This grant will help purchase materials that will be used by teachers, students and parents to help students see 'visions of the future.' Students will also be going on field trips to see different career areas.

Special guests and speakers will be coming to Gurdon Primary and discussing their career area and how they use character education on the job.

Local residents and parents will be some of those being asked to talk to their child's class.

If anyone would like to volunteer to speak to a class at Gurdon Primary School about their career, contact the school at 353-4321.
