Katherine Mary RogersPublished Wednesday, November 25, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesKatherine Mary Rogers, 73, of Arkadelphia died Monday, November 16, 1998, at her home. Mrs. Rogers was born August 18, 1925, in Beacon, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Robert Charles and Edith Brainard Schwan. Mrs. Rogers was a housewife and a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Amy Lynn Rogers. Survivors include her husband, Barney Rogers; one son, Troy Rogers of Arkadelphia; two daughters, Windy McClure of Gurdon and Lynn Jester of Curtis; one brother, William Schwan of Curtis; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Graveside services were held Wednesday, November 18, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gary Turner officiating. Arrangements were by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Pallbearers were Robert Jester, Randy Jester, David Jester, Tommy Jester, Troy Rogers, Robert Jester Jr. and Brandon Jester.
