Belva BlackPublished Wednesday, December 2, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesBelva Black, 100, of North Little Rock, formerly of Gurdon, died Wednesday, November 25, 1998. Mrs. Black was the widow of Oma Black and member of Beech Street Baptist Church. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Faye Black of North Little Rock; one daughter and son-in-law, Lula Mae and Grady Cathey Jr. of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Mark Cathey and wife Cindy, and Kelly Smith and her husband Tommy; and three great grandchildren, Anna, Sara and Erin. Services were held Sunday, November 29, in Horne Funeral Home Chapel in Gurdon. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery. Arrangements were by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
