Hunter Gets ArrestedBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, December 2, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune Hunting season ended early for a 25-year-old county resident. According to Wayne Kisselburg, criminal investigator for the Nevada County Sheriff's Office and Prescott Police Department, the NCSO received a call Thursday, Nov. 26, about a man hunting on posted land. When officers arrived, they picked Hartley up. After running a background check, they learned he had a felony record. He was arrested and taken to the NCSO where he was charged as a felon in possession of a firearm. Officers relieved him of two rifles and his hunting license.
