Mabel Quillin DavisPublished Wednesday, December 9, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneMabel Quillin Davis, 78, of Hope died Wednesday, December 2, 1998, at Heather Manor North Nursing Home in Hope. Mrs. Davis was born May 9, 1920, in Hempstead County to Leroy and Lugene Archer Quillin. She was a housewife and mother and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hope. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Dorman of Hope and Brenda Fontenot of Winnie, Texas; one brother, Roy Quillin of Hope; one sister, Nellie Godwin of Hope; and eight grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, December 4, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with Rev. I.V. High officiating.
