Church was well attended today with lots of Grandmas and Grandpas present. The Christmas Cantata was directed by Tara Carlton and narrated by Cindy Gresham.

The little folks did a great job. Bro. Petie's parents, the Pet Wards from Corinth, Jeff Carlton's parents, Betty and Jimmy Carlton of Little Bodcaw Church, Johnnie Jensen's mother, Pat Jenson, Tricia and Lynn Johnson, Laura Holtzclaw all of Magnolia, Brenda Jensen's parents, Roy and Marlena Capps of Rosston, and Timmy and Jessie Pott's parents of Texarkana were guests. We were happy to have these visitors and I'm sure there were others who I didn't see. The youth will present its annual Christmas program tonight.

Sympathy to the family of Mattie Jean Atkins. She passed away Thursday in a Texarkana Hospital. The funeral was Monday at 10 a.m. in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with burial in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Roscoe and I went to the funeral home and plan to go the funeral.

LeVergne White will have outpatient surgery on one of her hands at Wadley Hospital on Wednesday. Remember her in your prayers.

Mary Kathryn Hoover remains in Wadley Hospital in Texarkana, Texas, where she is seriously ill. Remember her in prayer.

I talked with Max Hill in Dallas Saturday. He had a tumor removed from his bladder Thursday. He is Norma Ruth (Phillips) Hill's husband. He asked for our prayers.

The Willing Workers Sunday School class had its annual Christmas party at Western Sizzlin in Hope on Thursday night. We presented our teacher, A.B. Luck, a little gift. Afterward we all took the drive through Bethlehem at Unity Church. We enjoyed it very much. Then we drove around Hope to see the pretty decorated homes. By the way, Rosston has lots of pretty decorated homes this year.

Roscoe and I met Jimmy and Booie Williams at the Crossroad Buffet on Thursday night for supper. Booie has been to Mountain Home, Fayetteville, Ft. Smith and Monticello this week on her job.

On Friday we attended the ground breaking for the beautiful new revenue office in Prescott. The governor, mayor, architect from Arkadelphia and Booie Williams made speeches. It will be across the street from First Baptist Church. Afterwards we all enjoyed refreshments in the beautiful Christmas decorated fellowship hall at First Baptist Church. Booie is so happy to be located at home after about 23 or 24 years. Most of that time has been on the road.

Lyn Dean Morman's granddaughter, Cassie Cottingham, was in the Miss PHS Pageant in Prescott on Saturday night.
