Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, December 9, 1998 in the Gurdon Times Several of the senior adults gathered around the piano Tuesday, December 2, for a time of singing good old gospel songs that we learned in our early childhood. I personally grew up singing some of them. That was an important part of my life. At this time of year our thoughts go back to when we were children and the times that we spent with our families, and we really knew the true meaning of Christmas, that God sent His Son for us. Bingo will be played on Monday and the Gurdon Senior Adult Center will have open house on December 10 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you would like to make use of this service you are invited to do so. Jerry Don Childers and the fourth graders will be singing for us on December 16. Come and join us. You'll be glad you did. The center is a United Way Agency.
