BY JOHN MILLER
Published Wednesday, December 9, 1998 in the Gurdon Times

Whoa! Is it ever busy in Gurdon this Christmas.

Along with the Gurdon Chamber of Commerce's parade and Gurdon High School Band Concert planned for Thursday night, there will also be an open house at the newly renovated Gurdon City Hall.

Tambra Smith, city recorder/treasurer, said the open house will be held immediately after the parade and before the band concert.

Refreshments will be served at the open house, and everyone's favorite Christmas personality will be on hand as well.

Yes, Santa Claus will be stopping at City Hall to check out the renovations as well, while asking the boys and girls what they want for Christmas.

Those interested can have their pictures taken with the jolly old elf for $3 each.
