Rev. Loy W. Garner

Rev. Loy W. Garner, 73, died Thursday, December 10, 1998.

Rev. Garner surrendered to preach in 1951, and pastored several Southern Baptist Churches throughout Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth; three daughters, Nadine Canant of Siloam Springs, Beth DeLamar and husband Mickey of Mesquite, Tex. and Ellen Garner of Shreveport, La.; four grandchildren, Mark and Keith Canant and Cody and Jaci DeLamar; three sisters, Edith Hardin of Cabot, Pauline Doss, Venita Lammey, Mittie Rowland and Ruth Guerin all of Benton.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 12, 1998 at Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon with Rev. Greg Kirksey officiating. Burial was in Rose Hedge Cemetery by Horne Funeral Home.
