Bonnie M. Barham

Bonnie M. Hall Barham, 84, of Cale died Monday, December 7, 1998, at her home.

Mrs. Barham was born on July 28, 1914, in Cale to Robert Jenkins and Hattie Johnson Hall. She was a retired school teacher, having taught for 42 years, a housewife and mother. Mrs. Barham was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Church in for some 60 plus years. She was a past member of the PTA, having served as president; a member of Nevada County Cattleman's Association (having been the first woman to join) and active with Double 'C' Extension Homemakers Club and of the Trailblazers. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.W. Barham, in 1981; a sister, Ardis Courtney; two grandchildren; Heath Spell and Kimberly Harlow; and by one great grandson, Nathan Hankins.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Barham of Cale; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Belinda and Lee Mercer and Sandra and Floyd Harlow all of Mesquite, Texas; one brother, Lonnie Milton Hall of Grand Junction, Colo.; one sister, Myrtice Hamler of Mt. Carmel, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Rita Hunter of Sachse, Texas, Russell Barham of Ft. Worth, Texas, Melinda Routh of Denton, Texas, Dinah Hankins of Garland, Texas, Sherri Blue of Emmet, Michael Mercer of Sachse, Texas, and Gabriel Harlow of Mesquite, Texas; and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, December 10, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Ken Ashlock and Rev. Fincher Knight officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery in Bluff City under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
