Most everyone I have called for news this morning are getting ready for Christmas and company.

Cathryn Jester picked up her granddaughters, Courtney and Teresa Jackson, at the Hot Springs exit Friday. They spent the weekend with their grandparents.

Special guest singers, Virginia Spells, John Myers and Bill Dupree, sang at Boughton Church Sunday morning. Other visitors at church were Theresa (Perry) Johnson and a friend of Conway.

Lyndal Garner is scheduled for heart surgery in Little Rock Tuesday. He is being accompanied to Little Rock by his son, Brent Garner.

Agatha Cowart of Idabel, Okla., is spending a few days with her mother, Annie Mae Hooks.

Word has been received from Durward and Kirby Orren that they still aren't doing well and need our prayers.

Everett and Mary Orren presented Chloe Orren with an early Christmas gift, a new portable phone. Shorty Garner also visited Chloe last week.

Kathleen Hooks and friend, Richard Hubbard, of Hot Springs visited her mother, Catherine Hooks, and May Blount over the weekend.

Willie and I visited Katie Pittman and Julie Beardsley Sunday afternoon.

Theresa and Jewel Grifford visited Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas Sunday afternoon.

A thought: No one has ever choked to death from swallowing his pride.
