The Redbugs opened the game by jumping out to a 20-11 lead, extending this to a 42-26 halftime margin. The 'Bugs mercilessly bit the Wolves in the third frame, pushing the score to 59-36. Still, Prescott fought back. The Wolves were down by 23 in the fourth quarter, rallied to cut the lead to 10, but ran out of steam with three minutes left. Free throws would have helped as Prescott was 14 of 31. The other 17 points would have kept the Wolves within striking distance. Fordyce was 18 of 29 at the stripe. Brandon Wilson led Prescott's attack with 14 points. Scott Hobbs chipped in a dozen and Matt Brannon contributed 10. Brandon Jones led all scorers with 26 for the 'Bugs. C. J. Brazil was next with 16, while Manny Reynolds scored 12. Terrence Chavis netted 11 and Belin Kriston had 10. The Wolves shot 40 percent from the field against the 'Bugs, while Fordyce hit a solid 57 percent from the field. Prescott also turned the ball over more than Fordyce, losing it 24 times, while taking it away 13.
