TWCG Have A Christmas PartyPublished Wednesday, December 23, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesThe Women of the Church of God met Monday, December 14, at the fellowship hall. Jeannie Burchfield was the hostess. She prepared a beautifully decorated table and a delicious Christmas dinner. She shared the credit with her husband who helped her prepare for the event. Following dinner, each lady wrote down a 'wish' she had for Christmas, then Jeannie read the story A Night the Stars Danced for Joy, about a family whose wishes came true the night Jesus was born. Jeannie then shared the scripture Psalms 34:4 "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart." Next, the ladies sang Christmas carols and made Christmas ornaments to take home. There were 10 women in attendance. They were Thelma Mizell, Eulah Wilson, Doris Eubanks, Shirley Smithpeters, Vivian Spruill, Janet Toland, Karen Self, Velvet Gonzales, Rhonda Spruill and Jeannie Burchfield.
