Community NewsJerine HatleyPublished Wednesday, December 23, 1998 in the Gurdon Times There will be a Christmas gospel musical Saturday night, December 26, at 6:30 p.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church of Gurdon. Everyone and all churches are welcome. There will be quartet singing, various choirs, groups and soloists. Rev. Betty Gulley, pastor. Sis. Johnnie Allen, emcee. Sunday, December 27, at 6:30 p.m. at the old senior citizens building on Plum Street, there will be a special service. Special guests include evangelist Mary Jones of El Dorado, evangelist Mary Smith of Homer, La. evangelist Betty Barnett of Ferriday, La., and other guest evangelists. Everyone is welcome to this service. Rev. Freddie Young, pastor in charge. Women in Red Sunday, December 27, at 3:00 p.m. at Union A.M.E. Church in Chidester. Everyone is welcome.
