RedlandHazel MeeksPublished Wednesday, September 29, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune Did you miss me last week? If you haven't already heard, I've just returned from a 10-day vacation trip to St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana. For those of you who may be wondering, I do have a heart and it almost played out on me this time. News is hard to find when you're laying up in a hospital room. So sorry to hear Glendene Haynie is not doing good at all. We are all concerned about our dear friend, Ronnie Vandiver, who is a heart patient in St. Vincent in Little Rock. Our grandson, Chris Meeks, from Dallas spent a few days with Neil and me during my recent illness. Deanie Luck from Mt. Pleasant, Texas, spent several days with her mother, Frances Bidwell. Shane and Amanda Meador from Murfreesboro spent the weekend with his parents, Sid and Sandy Meador. Harvey and Ruth Barham from Dallas spent several days at their home here. One of my school friends, Bennie Walthal, originally from Bluff City, now living in Texarkana, came by on Saturday for a nice long visit. We extend our sympathy to Mary DeYoung over the loss of her mother. Each of us at Shady Grove Baptist Church love you and are here for you.
