L.J. Ferguson

L. J. Ferguson, 75, of Colleyville, Texas, formerly of Prescott, died Monday, December 21, 1998, in Hempstead County.

Mr. Ferguson was born July 17, 1923, in Redfield to the late Loy J. and Addie Mae Ferguson. He was retired from the U.S. Customs and a retired U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Ferguson was a Baptist and a Mason and a 32nd degree Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Bethune Ferguson of Colleyville, Texas; six sons, Larry Ferguson of Plano, Texas, Michael Ferguson of Wichita Falls, Texas, Lyle Ferguson of Leander, Texas, Denver Payatakis of Austin, Texas, Donnie Carr of Arlington, Texas, and John Carr of Irving, Texas; four daughters, Carol Gee of Midland, Texas, Linda Letchworth of Mesquite, Texas, Sandra Miller of Dallas, Texas, and Ann Hallmark of Irving, Texas; one sister, Marjorie Byrd of Prescott; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Wednesday, December 23, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. John L. Ferguson officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
