Eagle Watch Set At DeGray

DeGray Lake Resort State Park will host its 20th annual Eagles Et Cetera January 30 and 31.

Activities will feature the American bald eagle as well as other raptors and waterfowl. Guided bird walks and lake tours to see wintering bald eagles and waterfowl will keep visitors busy for the weekend.

The registration table will open at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29, at the DeGray State Park visitor's information center. Programs conclude at noon on Sunday, January 31.

Lake tour tickets are $5.50 for adults (over 12) and $2.75 for kids 6-12 years old. All other programs are free to park guests.

Registration is required for lake tours and bird walks since trips are limited to a certain number of participants. Bring binoculars or spotting scopes for better viewing. Reservations for eagle tours can be made in advance beginning Monday, January 25, at 8:00 a.m. by calling (501) 865-2801.

DeGray Lake Resort State Park is located six miles north of I-30 on Highway 7.
