Community NewsPublished Wednesday, January 6, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesJerine Hatley Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 7, at 2:00 p.m. for the late Ora Lee Gulley Purifoy, sister of Herman and Vernell Gulley of Gurdon and Berma Dean Purifoy of Bluff City. The funeral will be at Union Grove Baptist Church in Bluff City. Rev. Parham, pastor. There will be a gospel musical Saturday night, January 16, at 6:30. Many groups, choirs and soloists will also be there. Sis. Sharon Laster, master of ceremonies. Rev. Ronald Scott, pastor. Everyone and all church are welcome. The Martin Luther King Jr. celebration will convene at Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Arkadelphia Monday, January 18, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Ron Browning, pastor.
