Cool weather is so nice on the old sweat glands. Let 'em rest.

Safrona Stokes of Mountain Home, her son Russell and his wife Christy visited Safrona's parents, Bro. Junior and Ann Loe, and other relatives here last weekend.

My sister, Pauline Blevins, of Nubin Hill and I went shopping in Texarkana Thursday. We ate a burger at Wendy's and ran into Betty Bryant and LaJoy Knight there. LaJoy was visiting her doctor in Texarkana.

My brother, Joe Baker, and his wife Katie of Como, Texas, and my sister, Pauline, were my house guests Wednesday night.

We were all sorry to hear Bro. Jim Cross had heart surgery last week. He is already planning to come home.

My sister-in-law, Jean Wicker, Dud's wife, had a stroke Friday. She is in Wadley Hospital in Texarkana.

Kevin Karmel and family of Dallas visited his parents, Kin and Celia, last weekend.

Kenny, Pat McCullough, Tim and Leah of Kilbourn, La., were weekend guests of her parents, J.W. and Maxine Glass.

Lucy, J.W. and Maxine Glass and brothers and sister, spent all last week in Branson, Mo.

Lavern Pruitt and her sister, Daphene Cook, of North Little Rock also spent a few days in Branson last week.
