Culpepper Is On HSU Basketball Team AgainPublished Wednesday, January 6, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneLaura Culpepper, a 1996 of Prescott High School, is a member of the Henderson State University women's basketball team. Culpepper has played in all 10 of HSU's games, starting in three of them. She is averaging 3.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. She is third on the team in offensive rebounds (19) and second in field goal percentage (62.1 percent). Henderson State, a member of the Gulf South Conference and NCAA Division II, is currently 4-6 on the season and opens its conference schedule Saturday at home against Southern Arkansas University. The game begins at 5:45 and will be played at HSU's Wells Center. A men's game between the two schools will follow the Lady Reddies contest.
