With the arrival of the holiday season came winners for various events sponsored by the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce.

The winning began with the annual parade, which saw the float for Tiny Miss Arkansas take the top prize.

Second on the list was the newly elected county officials, while Nevada County Teen Miss finished third.

This year two more places were added to the list of winners, with Morris Baptist Church finishing fourth and Baby Mister Nevada County in fifth.

But floats weren't the only things to be judged. The best decorated golf cart or 4-wheeler went to Katie Wilson with JD Tractor.

The best decorated bicycle award was presented to Prescott Hardware and Antiques, while Muffin Gean Wilson was rewarded as having the best decorated animal costume.

Miss West Central Arkansas, Jessie Ward, was voted as having the best decorated car or truck in the parade.

From the parade the winning went to the home front, literally. The parade of homes winners within the city limits saw Vernon and Francis Haynes tabbed as having the best lighted display.

For the best unlighted display, the award went to Alex and Janet Gordon. The best theme, though, went to James and Sheila Cannon.

These folks were presented certificates and had signs posted in their yards proclaiming their victories.

In the county, the best lighted display honors went to Bill and Linda Carmen, with Mike and Kayla Chambliss getting named as having the best unlighted display. The best theme went to Erma Sue Purtle.

These winners were also given certificates and had signs placed in their yards.

The best decorated window contest saw George's take the traveling trophy this year.
