Accident Leaves One DeadBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, January 6, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune A one-vehicle accident on New Year's morning left a 27-year-old Prescott man dead. According to reports from the Arkansas State Police, the accident occurred at 2:35 a.m., Friday, Jan. 1. Jason Scott Green was traveling south on Highway 67 about five miles out of Prescott, when he entered a curve. The 1993 Mitsubishi he was driving crossed the center line, left the road, went into a ditch and slid sideways for 246 feet. At this time the car flipped, flipping a total of three times before coming to rest. However, Green's body was ejected on the second flip, and struck a vehicle parked in front of a house at the bottom of the ditch. He was transported to Medical Park Hospital by the Nevada County Ambulance Service and pronounced dead at 3:20 a.m. According to ASP Trooper Bobby Carlton, the accident was most likely alcohol related.
