Bennie White

Bennie White, 74, of Prescott died Thursday, January 7, 1999, in Hope.

Mr. White was born September 8, 1924, in Hope to William Buck White and Eunice Harris White. He was a retired oil field worker with Union Pacific Railroad. He had served in the U.S. Marines. Mr. White was a 32 Degree Mason and a member of Pisgah Lodge; Moose Lodge of Quail Valley, Calif.; and the Prescott VFW. He was past union president for Union Pacific Railroad in Long Beach, Calif.

Survivors include loving wife, Georgia Johnson White of Prescott; two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Allene White of Westminister, Calif., and Patrick White of Prescott; one brother, Fred White of Citrus Heights, Calif.; two sisters, Nita Boyd of Little Rock and Joyce McLendon of Delight; six grandsons; three granddaughters; two great grandsons; and two great granddaughters.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 10, at Antoine Church of Christ with B.B. Hardin and Gene Earl Jester officiating. Burial was in Antoine Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
