RedlandHazel MeeksPublished Wednesday, January 13, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune I sure feel sorry for all you who didn't take my advice and buy an electric blanket. I'll first report on our neighbors, Willie and Evelyn Hooks. They are still patients at St. Michael's Hospital. Evelyn is in St. Michael Rehab and Willie was moved from ICU to a room on Saturday. Seems their road to recovery might be long. After losing her son, Jackie Frances Bidwell has game to spend some time with her daughter and son-in-law, Deanie and Bill Luck in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Katy Wilson spent Saturday night with Lacey and Misty Lukes in Hope and attended Unity Baptist Church with them Sunday morning. Paul, Kim, Trent and Katy Cox had Sunday lunch with her parents, Polly and Benny Phillips. Julene and Willie Hulan visited Mr. and Mrs. John Kirkpatrick on Sunday. Pershing and Mary Cox visited his brother, Charlie, and Mel Cox in Ashdown on Monday. Neil and I visited the Hooks in St. Michael's on Saturday. Don't forget the Crossroad Singers will be at Boughton Baptist Church on Saturday night, January 16, at 7:00. Patsy and Sam Rowe from Alvin, Texas, spent several days with her mother, Thais McLelland. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
