Published Wednesday, January 13, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayunePRESCOTT 50 BRADLEY 67 For the second time in two meetings, the Curley Wolves were unable to get past the Bradley Bears. The Bears upended the Wolves in the Prescott Classic, and sent them packing from the SWAR tourney as well. The Wolves played close in the first quarter, trailing 12-11 at the end of one, but Bradley stretched the lead to six by halftime, with the score 31-25. By the end of three, though, the Bears were in control as the score read 50-34 in favor of Bradley. Scott Hobbs was Prescott's leading scorer with 14, while Brannon Wilson netted 10.
