Ruthie Mae JonesPublished Wednesday, January 20, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesRuthie Mae House Jones, 92, died Thursday, January 15, 1999, at Maumelle in her home. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by husbands, Herman T. White and James R. Jones; two sons, Joe H. White and Frank D. White; one grandson, Harvey White; one brother, George House; and one great grandson, Joey Hastings. Survivors include three sons, Edgar H. White of Conway, Thomas E. White of Beirne and Harold D. White of Van Buren; two brothers, Leonard House of Prescott and James F. House of Powderly, Texas; one sister, Chloe Orren of Prescott; 17 grandchildren, Shirley Featheroff, Ruth Marie Conklin, Mary Etta Peterson, Nancy Turly, Tommy, George, Michael, Danny, Rickey and Joseph White, Sandy Jones, Joy and Janice Allison, Cheryl Hastings, Franki Davidson, Kathy Monteith and Carla Jester; 27 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services were Monday, January 18, in the Horne Chapel in Gurdon. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Gurdon under the direction of Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
