Several from this area made the dean's list for the fall semester at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. In all 387 students were named to the list.

Students from Prescott making the list were Deanna Ellis, Russell Glass, Katie Gordon, Stacy Milam, Tonda Pennington, Tiffany Rash and Jessie Ward; from Rosston, Tamika Leaks, Kristi Patton, Allison Young, and Valerie Young; from Emmet, Amanda Clift; and from Waldo, Selma Edwards, Carol Elarn, Eric Laurie Herring, Brandy Hines, Judy Purcell, Lindsay Walthall and Earsaline Witcher;

To be eligible for the dean's list at SAU, a student must be registered in 12 or more semester hours and attain a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

The Office of Academic Affairs at Henderson State University recently announced that 199 collegians earned dean's list status for the fall semester in 1998.

Making the list from Prescott were Andrew Almand and Kristi Ammons.

Making the honor roll from Prescott were Monica Burton, Jennifer Chambliss, Jaslyn DeWoody, Melanie Glass, Teresa Hamilton, Shawna Hellums, Teri Matthews, Rainna McGuire and Phillip Pine.

In order to qualify for the dean's list at HSU, the student had to earn a perfect 4.000 on 12 or more semester hours of course work.

Approximately 374 students made the University's honor roll for the fall term. Students on the honor roll were required to earn a 3.500 grade point average on 12 or more semester hours.
