Basil J. Dorman

Basil J. Dorman, 78, of Bodcaw died Sunday, January 17, 1999, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

Mr. Dorman was a retired pipe liner and a member of Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Dorman of Bodcaw; four daughters, Dorothy Smittle of Tifton, Ga., Betty Carlton of Bodcaw, Joyce Richardson of Walker Creek and Carolyn White of Winnsboro, Texas; two brothers, Olva Dorman of Bodcaw and G. W. Dorman of Hope; six sisters, Alta Mullins of Hope, Gladys Morehead of Magnolia, Ruby Vines of Bodcaw, Lola Mae Allen of Hope, Jude Allen of Bodcaw and Opal Barger of Hope; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Tuesday, January 19, at Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Joe Wright and Bro. Tom Stevens officiating. Burial was in Bodcaw Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
