Basil J. DormanPublished Wednesday, January 20, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneBasil J. Dorman, 78, of Bodcaw died Sunday, January 17, 1999, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Mr. Dorman was a retired pipe liner and a member of Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Dorman of Bodcaw; four daughters, Dorothy Smittle of Tifton, Ga., Betty Carlton of Bodcaw, Joyce Richardson of Walker Creek and Carolyn White of Winnsboro, Texas; two brothers, Olva Dorman of Bodcaw and G. W. Dorman of Hope; six sisters, Alta Mullins of Hope, Gladys Morehead of Magnolia, Ruby Vines of Bodcaw, Lola Mae Allen of Hope, Jude Allen of Bodcaw and Opal Barger of Hope; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Tuesday, January 19, at Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Joe Wright and Bro. Tom Stevens officiating.
