Oak GroveLula Q. KendrickPublished Wednesday, January 20, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune Gracie Howell's funeral was held Friday, January 15, at Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Rosston. The pastor, Rev. Bobby Box, did the eulogy. Eunice Purifoy Blake's funeral was held Saturday, January 16, at Good Hope A.M.E. Church in Chidester. Rev. Gregary Nettles is the pastor. Interment was in Whites Church Cemetery. Sis. Blake was a member of Golden Star Chapter 359 of Rosston. The eulogy was given by Eddie McDonald. Ira T. 'Speedy' Young passed away Friday in Blytheville. He was a coach in Blytheville until his health failed. He was the son of Carl Young and Gustava Young, who preceded him in death. George's pastor, stopped by and had prayer with him. My husband is not doing so well lately. Oree Joe is visiting his mother, Clara Joe. Her son lives in Rockford, Ill. Our budget rally will be Sunday and red and white program will be then also. All members are asked to pay $50. Rev. Henton preached at Oak Grove Baptist Church Sunday morning.
