Boys To Men, Girls To Women Coalition StartsPublished Wednesday, January 27, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Boys to Men - Girls to Women Coalition of Prescott kicked off the 1999 activities with a successful video night on January 12 at the home economics building at Prescott High School. There were 43 persons 23 mentees and 20 mentors/parents present. Two videos were shown: Angry, Sad and Resentment and Hurting With Words. There was much discussion on these topics. It was felt that these videos will have a lasting effect on everyone present. This coalition is a non-profit organization, established to help at risk young men and women to avoid the use of drugs, alcohol, tobacco and gang violence; and to assist them in becoming productive citizen in our society The next Boys to Men - Girls to Women activity is scheduled for Tuesday, February 9.
