Prescott Gifted And Talented Attends Repertory TheaterPublished Wednesday, January 27, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe third and fourth grade gifted and talented class in Prescott recently went to the Arkansas Reperatory Theater in Little Rock to see the musical production of The Wizard of Oz. The students saw the 10 a.m. show and stayed to chat with the actors and actresses. They even had a chance to pet Toto, who was played by Magic, a real live trained dog. The costumes and special effects helped make this show one of the best they've attended. The students posed for a picture on the stairwell of the theater and one student is shown holding up a t-shirt purchased during the show's intermission. Parents accompanied the students and some little brothers and sisters also attended. The sponsor for the trip was coordinator Shelia Jennings.
