Gertrude ScottPublished Wednesday, January 27, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneGertrude Scott, 86, of Hot Springs died Thursday, January 21, 1999, at a Hot Springs hospital. Mrs. Scott was born February 11, 1912, in Hempstead County. She was a housewife and a nursing assistant and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence D. Scott, who died in 1991, and by one son, Theodore Scott, who also died in 1991. Survivors include one daughter, Wanda Jean Scott of Hot Springs; one daughter-in-law, Callie Scott of Bryant; one brother, Guy Chism of Hope; one sister, Nannie Mae Stuart of Prescott; two grandchildren, Sandra Marie Redmond of Bryant and Pamela Sue Scott of Johnston Island in the South Pacific; and two great grandchildren, Perry Lynn Rae and Paige Vaughn both of Benton. Graveside services were held Tuesday, January 26, at Merrill Cemetery in Hempstead County with Rev. Scott Neathery officiating.
