BodcawAline ClausPublished Wednesday, January 27, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune The storm hit Bodcaw with a lot of wind damage. Roofs were blown off. Chicken houses, barns and trees downed and houses damaged, but we had no injuries. Funeral services for Basil Dorman were this week. Funeral and burial were at Bodcaw. Remember this family. Russ Carlton sang at a benefit on Saturday night in Prescott. However, he was not feeling well Sunday and could not attend church. Please remember Russ. Jack and Mary Hinton of Perrytown and Terrell Mullins of Ft. Worth, Texas, were in church with Alta Mullins. It was her 92nd birthday. We wish her many more birthdays. Butch and Pat Wilbanks of Little Rock were also in church and visiting J.D. and Marie Allen. Marie Allen will celebrated her birthday on Monday. Bill Clements was sent to Little Rock because of the tornado damage . He works for Arkla. Mike and Jackie Allen of Lincoln visited their parents and the Fieldings of Hope and J.D. and Marie Allen. They took the Allens to Crossroads on Saturday night in celebration of Marie's birthday. Dick, Sherry Kay Lane and their family visited mom, Maudie Miller, over the weekend. They are in the process of moving to Arkadelphia. Mary Anna Dorman is having tests done in Shreveport, La. Please remember her. Mary Poindexter's father is seriously ill in a Shreveport hospital.
