PRESCOTT 57
Published Wednesday, January 27, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneFOUKE 50 Prescott's second game in two nights, as they played Monday and Tuesday, saw the Wolves handle the Panthers 57-50. The Wolves managed to stay in control of the game, taking a 17-12 lead after one and going in at the half up 38-28, but were never able to put the Panthers down and out. They did manage to post a double-figure lead by the end of the third quarter when the score was 49-35, but Fouke was able to rally somewhat in the final eight minutes. Prescott was 18-27 from the line in the game, with Fouke converting eight of 15. Wilson led all scorers with 16 for Prescott. Hobbs was next on the list with 12, followed by Brian Woodley's 11. Matt Brannon broke double-digits with 10. Brandon McMurray led Fouke with 12. The Wolves will tangle with Fountain Lake Friday night as the Cobras pay Prescott a visit. From there, three of Prescott's final four games will be on the road. The only home game will be against the pumpkinheads of Nashville Friday, Feb. 5.
