Published Wednesday, January 27, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneFORDYCE 58 The Wolves improved their chances of post season play with a 63-58 win over league leading Fordyce Monday, Jan. 18. This game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 26, but had to be moved as Fordyce had a conflict. Prescott opened with a 12-10 lead at the end of one, stretching this to a 35-22 advantage at the half. Fordyce fought back, but was unable to cut into the lead during the third period as Prescott led 45-34. Scott Hobbs led the way for the win with 19 points as the game's high scorer. Brannon was next up with 14. The Redbugs were paced by w. Brazil's 15, while Eddie Walker and Brandon Jones scored 10 each.
